Edisto River Treehouses

Private river access for the treehouses allow you to come and go as you wish. Fully furnished, they sleep 2 to 8.

Each treehouse is

  • tucked in the woods out of view of any other
  • nestled in the trees on the river's edge
  • located on its own private, gurgling creek

  • solidly constructed of completely natural, often local materials
  • fully furnished with kitchen, futons, outdoor grill, dining deck
  • screened with a well-vented sleeping area

The loudest sound you'll hear is the hooting of the night owls.

Rental of the treehouse includes the use of a canoe and a shuttle to the put-in. Paddle in on Day 1, spend your nights in the treehouse and then paddle out on your last day. Cost: $125 per person per night.

Other Accommodations within the Edisto River Refuge

The 150-acre Wildlife Refuge offers:

  • miles of shaded walking trails
  • cypress/tupelo swamps
  • abundant wildlife

Camping Cabin

This small tree-house-sized cabin is nestled in the woods. It comes simply equipped with a gas stove and a gas lamp. Those not sleeping in the loft have a double futon. A charcoal grill and picnic table are just outside your door. Rental includes the use of a canoe.Cost: $100 per person per night.

Primitive Camp

Whether for your church, work, school, or scout group, you'll find our Group Camp to be an ideal place to set camp for your overnight river trip. The area can accomodate groups of up to 30.
